Re: Jurgen Klopp- Liverpool manager
Klopp averaged 1.09 goals conceded during his Dortmund career while it was 1.04 in the league. Interestingly this (league) average was 0.69 during the league winning seasons. Currently Liverpool is averaging 1.32 goals conceded in the league and 1.23 goals conceded in all competitions.

No doubt there will be some reading this article who will disagree. If you do, let me please ask you this. If Liverpool, tomorrow, decided to place Mignolet, Lovren, Klavan, Moreno, Henderson, Can and Wijanldum all on the transfer list, which clubs do you think would buy them?
Sevilla was the 21st time that Jurgen Klopp‘s Liverpool have dropped points from a winning position; the fifth time when Liverpool had a 2-0 lead or better. In 119 games as manager.

Re: Jurgen Klopp- Liverpool manager
Let's be real here, whats everyones expectations this season for this man?
For me he has to win a major trophy, or win 2 minor ones, with a deep CL run or just falling short of city.
TBH with Klopp he adds so much to the club, even if he doesn't get it, its gonna be hard to say sack him.
He set himself up when he came and put pressure on himself to win a major trophy, but that's a good thing, now he needs to deliver.
So what are your thoughts on what his minimum trophy targets are this season and what he needs to do to stay in the job.

Re: Jurgen Klopp- Liverpool manager
He should be definitively competing for the league.
The problem is, he has to go against Pep, and as good as Klopp is, in terms of league football Pep is better than anyone by a mile.
It's basically impossible to beat Pep in a league competition IMO, once he has settled in.
So I think, unless you want to set yourself up for disappointment, you should be prepared to be content with a 2nd place in the PL.
Of course, then no early Cup exit or disappoitments are allowed.
CL deep run, a cup or two should be the targets.

A very interesting coincidence, Gerrard also extended until 2024 with Rangers.
