I just started watching this show. I like it.
I found the first season somewhat predictable.
I just started the second season and it's not predictable at the moment, but I have some ideas of how things will turn out. Let's see.

Overall Season 6 is horseshit, but the last 5 seconds of its last episode.

Caught up with all episodes of the final season this weekend. I think this season has been pretty good so far, at least it started off promising(last ep was so so). Maybe jmo but I think its been better than last season so far.

- Before the latest episode I was feeling like Yates probably wasn't the brain surgeon, and after it, he's definitely not. It's gotta be Vogel right? But even that feels like there's more to it. We'll see.
The kid from the rich family looked like a young Dexter, with Harry covering for him. I could swear they had a scene like that one season where a couple officers were asking Harry about a homicide and Dexter comes out similarly. The Dad quite clearly knows and is covering up for him.
Also Matthews covering for that family by telling Quinn to back off, makes me think he's always known about Dexter. But maybe that's a reach.

- Definitely digging the return of Yvonne Strahovski. Mix in Deb with Vogel and Dexter's new protege going after his new love interest and hot damn! We got ourselves a top final season of the show.

- Just watched the new episode. Expected, because they made it obvious it was Saxon last week imo. He's been 2 steps ahead of Dexter though... Now Vogel will probably be helping him try to kill Dexter.
Also I feel like that bounty hunter left a little too easy...
Through the first 4-5 seasons Dexter was as good as any show on TV. Now? Not so much, the writing has really dropped off but I still enjoy it.

in 7 years and almost 2 terabytes of tv shows i have never seen a series shit the bed so badly in its final season... two episodes from the end and absolutely nothing is happening
if anyone hasn't started watching yet, watch seasons 1, 3, 4 and 2 in that order and then just quit... it's not worth the time and emotional investment

The last episode surely has to be the poorest episode in the entire series. I'm chalking it off as a 'filler' episode, the final two episodes can make up for it
