That pretty much sums up my impression of him as well. One could argue that his consistency might improve with more experience, but he is 28 He does have a fun/quirky personality, which likely plays into his popularity.

That is another point for the English treat him like he is a youngster the most common saying being: "Oh give him time he is young".... no tf he is not.
People need to get despite all his quirks and annoying traits Pep is a master at bringing out the best in limited players for all the juice they have.
That's what he is, an optimiser of such players (Busquets) and somehow takes away from generational players into a very narrow tunnel of traits, Thimmy knows this.

Well fucking obviously if you are part of a mere 11 on the pitch you will end up contributing to a goal by some hockey pass of play but he is severely out of his depth compared to the world class stars who surround him.

Grealish lacks end product but I also prefer him to Doku
City shouldve went for Leao.

Rodri is insane, that ball recovery and cross for 2nd Haaland goal was really neat

Re: Premier League 2023/24
I didn't watch the game, but it looks like they played more direct than they usually do, based on the highlights. Haaland will probably go back to traffic cone, decoy mode when they face Tottenham and Man United, so there's still time for Isak or Palmer to pass him by.
It's actually quite baffling that he's still ahead considering the injury he had, and the goal drought after the turn of the year. With Isak and Palmer being the ones in second and third place, I think that probably says something about the state of the league right now

Re: Premier League 2023/24
Palmer isnt even a no.9... although the game has evolved so there are less pure no.9s of cos n teams rely more of others for goals apart from the no.9, n also Kane left, so left with Haaland not much comp anymore

Re: Premier League 2023/24
Anelka once won the golden boat with 19 goals when Rooney, van Persie and Drogba were still in the league, don't base too much off goal scoring charts...
actually like BarcaLearning said a while ago, this season is actually the most goals scored in a season all-time or something... so it just means the goals have been spread across players and teams... which actually means the quality has spread out across the GOAT LEAGUE

They won 2/3 of European competitions just last year Bill Being the best league doesn't mean they're going to steamroll Europe every year.

I'm just challenging the best league or goat league label. They are the best financed league and have the largest television audience (I say this is only because of a larger audience of english speaking fans).
With arguablely only 3 top teams, I just don't feel the over used lable is warranted. Although most feel City is the top team right now, you can't say Arsenal and Pool are better than Real Madrid or Bayern or Leverkussen. Certainly the Spanish and German leagues are not as inferior as El Gunner likes to state.

They should've included Ukraine and Russia just to reinforce how laughable LOL 1 is Hope Olympiakos wins the Conference this year just to add another non-LOL 1 European champion.

Re: Premier League 2023/24
Just for clarification, I don’t consider the conference league a noteworthy competition. It is essentially a second or third level competition. At least in Europa or UEFA competition, the participants are in top 4-6 in the top leagues.
Plus it is understandable that almost all champions are from top 4 leagues. What the chart does illustrate is how far behind the so called Goat league is from Spain.
The chart above looks like it is for the top two competitions as the conference thing has only been around for past 3 or 4 years.

Generic but non the less interesting read, especially now that hes West Ham manager again? But strange decision by the club becos last time he didnt do that well with Wolves? Anyway, no idea what these EPL clubs thinking these days maybe going with believe that the trend is Spanish managers doing well in general?

Damn, UTD really in the shits.
Fortunately they got rid of the problems lile Ronaldo, De Gea and Sancho, would've been relegated by now.

Re: Premier League 2023/24
I don’t know if there’s any point in firing ETH a few weeks before the season ends, but the pitchforks will surely be out if he’s not fired by the start of next season
Either way, it really is concerning that several players always seem to rebel against the manager. It’s almost become a tradition at the club by now.
Keeping the ones who play with heart and replacing everyone else would provide a blank slate for the club and the next manager, but I imagine they would’ve done so a long time ago if it was that easy.

ETH appeals to fans: "If you can't support us when we lose, then don't support us next week when we lose again"
