RealGunner wrote:He is constantly top in the dribbles, final passes and chances creation rank for us but like thimmy said he rushes too often in the final third. It happens to young players with big price tag.
No issues from any Arsenal fans about him so far.
He was the same at Lille. Hopefully, with time, he'll learn to compose himself in the final third. It was quite frustrating to watch at Lille, because he would sometimes dribble towards the box and create chances out of nothing - and then ultimately waste possession because he would suddenly display the restlessness of someone who needs to take an incredibly urgent shit.

Okay, Thimmy and Myesyats, you guys seriously need to stop criticizing Dembélé because hans may have popped a few blood vessels reading your posts.
In case you don't believe me, I have attached a video of his reaction below to be seen at your own risk. This is the exact moment hans laid eyes on brother Myesyats' post:

It's funny that you're posting that video. I watched a type of documentary on that German kid recently. It's a pretty tragic story. I'll post the video below.
As for Hans, he deserves all the frustration that comes his way. I hope a cow with diarrhea somehow shits on his doorstep, and all the way up to the door handle

Tragic indeed. But I'm glad he was strong enough not to give up. He says near the end of the video that he's now having a great life and everything is behind him. Kudos to him .

I'm a patient man (that's what 120 months in retail employment will do to you) but even I have a limit and it's creepin. Am I being too harsh?

Nah, it'd be one thing if he's doing a lot of good things on the pitch without scoring. That would just come with time.
But last couple of games, he's been sloppy. Maybe trying to force it too much because he's under pressure to produce right away.
I'm concerned about him.

Is the jump from French football to the EPL that big? Even Gervinho didn't struggle this badly

Gervinho is beast, he's like Auba now, regularly sprint half a stadium with ball on his feet.

What do you mean, "he didn't struggle"? His hairline is still in France.

Re: Official: Nicolas Pepe Signs
Gervinho was a fraud from the word go... he ENTIRELY relied on his speed. His IQ and technique were always suspect. Pepe has plenty of technique and skill... i question his IQ though.
My guess is that he'll become like Sterling when it's all said and done.. and fairly soon at that. Similar type of players. Only difference is that Pepe has both feet.

We still havent paid his full transfer fee
For him to be successful he needs to run behind the defence. (Someone is needed who can play through balls between the CB and Full back) Thats what he did at Lille and was very effective in the final third. Here with us he cuts in too early and is made to play balls wide to our RWB or play square to a midfielder as he is one-footed (predictable) AF.
If we are planning to play the way we are playing now we should try to get the best deal out of him. If we can somehow change to play to his strenghts he could still come good.

Griezmann at 120m is a much bigger flop. Twice the money and he's got worse stats than Arda Turan.

Re: Official: Nicolas Pepe Signs
He reminds me of a kid playing football on Sunday with his dad, pretending to be Ronaldo L and do stepovers before losing the ball. The amount of times he lost the ball yesterday trying to be fancy made me scream. Needs to seriously get it together because a lot of patience has run out.

Re: Official: Nicolas Pepe Signs
He looked great when I watched him at Lille. Didn’t look so desperate to showcase his dribbling repertoire, and was much more effective in possession. I couldn’t tell that he’s very one-footed, as I’ve seen him score from outside the box with his right foot. I’ve no clue what’s holding him back at Arsenal.
