Simeone Sack Watch
What the hell was that game plan?
He has a great technical squad available and still plays garbage football. Lean Sam Alladyce.

He gets rated because he's got an exotic name and is Argentine, swear on my life if his name was Doug Simon, he'd be in England's league 3

Yup. He's definitely Sam Allardyce with a budget and self control at a buffet.

Great manager; totally took a serious dump on his bed today lol. But he has probably the safest job in all of managing among the big teams. Atleti faithful would forgive him and the board is gonna keep him.

Re: Simeone Sack Watch
You should NEVER go to an away soil trying to defend a lead, even if you have Maldini, Nesta and Stam in defense with Makelele, Redondo and Vieira in midfield. Home team is obviously going full-out attack to overcome the deficit and if they somehow get that first goal, even a flukey one, psychologically the defensive team won't recover in time and you will be in deep shit on away soil with fired up fans and opponent team running twice as much on adrenaline.

Re: Simeone Sack Watch
I would say this though, quite a number of Atleti's attacking signings since the La Liga win have been trash. Vitolo, Lemar, Kalinic, Gaitan, Gameiro, Carrasco, Jackson Martinez, Vietto, Cerci have failed (in Lemar's case, currently failing). Even the return of Costa has been a bad experience. If these were bought with Simeone's approval, which I am sure they have been, he really deserves to be told by someone to stop it.

Re: Simeone Sack Watch
It would be interesting to see what a manager who has got more ideas in his playbook than just defending could do at Atletico, but we're probably years away from Simeone quitting / getting sacked.

Re: Simeone Sack Watch
He has to go unless Atletico just want more of the same. Simone just doesnt look capable of introducing more attacking and proper football to his side, its always just thug football, defending, and hope for a goal from set piece or genius from Grizemann or Costa. Its actually becoming sooooo boring.

This.
Let's not forget this is the man who got rid of Mandzukic and signed Kalinic and Morata.

Unreal sliding door missed by him , bottling 2-0 in a year without Real Madrid (black beast) when you have final at home.
He's going never to win this cup, the new Hector Cuper.
