Modric vs Verratti

I think Verratti worth Modric already. Better than him in defense and more able to control the game. I think Modric has a better final pass and better shot.

Verratti will be a lot better defensively when he chills with the aggression and the cards. He'll grow out of it no doubt. Modric has better passes and vision probably, but less movement and verticality in his play. A closer comparison in terms of style would be Modric vs Thiago I think.

Would love both in my team. Otherwise I'd take Verratti for Juve because he is 7 years younger and we have Marchisio to run things.

Very classy players. Right now, I'd have any of them both. If you're thinking long term, then yeah, Veratti would definitely be the choice.

He has one the best sliding tackles in the world, very close to Lahm in this aspect and much better than Modric.
he took sometimes a yellow but this not mean that he is not a better defender than Modric. He also has a better close control than Modric, he never lose the ball even when pressed by 3 men. He rarely miss a pass.
I think Modric is just a bit better in the final pass and has a better shot, despite no one of them is a great goalscorer.
