River Plate after retired footballer Guti

River are allegedly after Guti, whose wife is Argentine and might see an appeal in playing his trade in Buenos Aires for a few seasons. Reportedly, an offer has already been made, in spite of the footballer announcing his retirement a few weeks ago.
I hope it doesn't go through, wouldn't want to cheer his name lol.

Re: River Plate after retired footballer Guti
Guti is an amazing player.. he is a mix of Pirlo and Xavi... at his best no one can reach him, he is the best cm on his day... but hes wayy too inconsistent... welll tbh thats a myth, it wasn't his inconsistency.. it was his fights with managers or injuries that caused him to miss almost half of the matches of his life....
River plate would benefit from his presence in midfield.. as long as River striker's have good positioning and make good runs behind defense.

River could always use someone as good as Guti.

Guti has already replied on twitter: thanks, but playing in Argentina doesn't appeal to me.

What's the point? He is old and mostly looking to a little bit extra retirement money, which means his ambition is going to be really low. River is not going to get the invested money back from him due to his inconsistency. They should just use one their risings stars (Lanzini? and Ocampos?).

We should get him back as a coach to tutor Modric.

River really want Guti? I'm sure there is a wonder kid somewhere in their famous youth ranks they haven't discovered as yet...

Re: River Plate after retired footballer Guti
He has now admitted that he received an offer from the Buenos Aires giants, who are looking to rebuild their squad ahead of their return to top-flight football.
"I'm not going to play for River, and, honestly, I don't want to play in Argentina," the 14-cap Spain international revealed on his Twitter page.
"But I'm grateful for the interest."
Guti joined Madrid as a youngster in 1986, and made over 500 appearances for the Liga giants, before moving to Inonu in 2010.
