No, it's a more efficient way to talk with people during matches and it's not on all the time.

The only hurting it's doing is to the matchday section which is a graveyard. Apart from that, I love the personal aspect of the chat and the kneejerk has double the impact.

+ side of the chat: It's instant messaging, easy to discuss and more personal.

- side of the chat: You have to be logged in and following it all the time or you risk missing something good. In threads the posts stay there and you can return to it anytime you want.

I agree, the chat brings many positive aspects but it is taking traffic away from the actual forum.
